Web Hosting Reviews:   Helping You Choose...

Are You Confused By All The Web Hosting Hype?

 —  Fine, then you have arrived at the right place!
Over my ten years of putting web sites online, I have had my share of web hosting experiences. I've seen the good, the bad...
...and the ugly!

This web hosting review site was started as a service for people who want some guidance in this jungle of budget web hosting providers. Yes, I've noticed that everybody wants cheap web hosting; yet they often forget to ask for good web hosting. Actually, the quality varies a lot between different web hosting providers.

If you want to get premium service, then be prepared to pay a premium price. Ah, you prefer something inexpensive AND good, right? Fine, there are some inexpensive hosts out there that DO provide really good service! And I have done the research, I know who they are. How do I know? Well, I have:

Checked feedback posted by 1000's of hosting customers
Browsed leading web hosting forums on a daily basis
Done my own personal testing of several web hosts

There are literally thousands of web hosting providers in the US alone, and it's impossible to keep track of them all. Therefore I've limited myself to the most well-known and established companies; those that have stood the test of time (most don't), and have a solid track record.

Here is my short web hosting ranking list of those web hosts I have the most experience with, and feel most comfortable recommending.

They have been many years in the hosting business and are generally well liked by their customers.

InMotion Hosting$3.00FreeFree30 d.
HostGator$4.95Free-45 d.
Lunarpages$6.95FreeFree30 d.
Hostmonster$6.95FreeFree?
Bluehost$6.95FreeFree?
DreamHost$7.95FreeFree97 d.

The above is just a few examples of web hosts I feel are worth mentioning. I have visited many sites featuring web hosting reviews, and frankly I often find that they speak highly of web hosts I personally wouldn't recommend to anybody (maybe I will make a list of those web hosts under the heading "Worst Web Hosting Providers"!).

Sure, you will always find some bad rap about just about any web host if you really search for it, but the point is that some hosting companies get mostly good customer reviews while there are others who are hardly liked by anybody.

Los Angeles web hosting: Out of my top favorite web hosting providers, it seems three are actually located somewhere in the greater Los Angeles area. These are InMotion Hosting, Lunarpages, and DreamHost.

Some people prefer to have their web host in the same part of the world as they themselves live. Personally, I don't care but your opinion may differ. So if you're looking for Los Angeles web hosting - or even just California web hosting - I recommend you pick one of those hosting companies.
